Empire State Outdoors

The Empire State Outdoors' Program Guide (below) contains features from every region of the state, and showcases the beautiful outdoor scenery you can experience during all four seasons in New York. Among the dozens of features to be shown on ESO during Season One are stories on Back Country Camping, New York City's Urban Forest, the Cooperstown Regatta, the Peregrine Falcons of downtown Buffalo, Ice Fishing on Lake Champlain, Fall foliage trips, Snow Shoeing, Bluefish Fishing on South Bay, the Seth Green Research Vessel, Maple Syrup Making, the Karner Blue Butterfly of the Capital District, and a nature walk on Staten Island's Mount Loretto. Also during each episode, a special "Outdoor Classroom" segment geared toward children in grades K-12 helps kids learn about the state's natural resources and the need to protect them for future generations. The guide offers a brief description of the show segments featured in each of ESO's 13 episodes in Season 1. You won't want to miss a single adventure!
