• Eight years experience as nightly news anchor and sports director at WPTZ-TV in Plattsburgh, NY, covering the Lake Champlain International Fishing Derby, The Mayor’s Cup sailing regatta, The Empire State Games and many other local sporting and recreation events.

• New York State Broadcasters Association awards for Best Sportscaster in 1988 and 1989; Best Coverage of a Local Sporting Event for 1986 through 1988 and a Vermont Broadcast Award for Best Sportscast in 1988.

• Member of the Adirondack “Forty Sixers,” having completed five rounds of climbing New York’s 46 mountain peaks that rise above 4,000 feet in elevation.

• Wilderness trip leader for Pok-O-MacCready Outdoor Education Center in the Adirondack Mountains, guide and expedition coordinator for hiking, climbing, backpacking and canoe trips.
